MAP Earmarkable digital euro
Three professionals gathered around a flow diagram made of abstract cards and tokens.
Earmarkable digital euro

An earmarkable digital euro, 100% traced on the blockchain.

MAP provides an earmarkable digital euro, 100% traced on a tamper-proof blockchain, with a real payment account: IBAN, incoming and outgoing transfers, card, QR code. You earmark its use by supplier, geographic area, period or ceiling; the AI supervises every operation.

What it is

A digital euro that is spent like a euro, but only where you decided.

MAP issues a digital euro, one for one with the euro, on a real account in each beneficiary’s name. You programme where, when and with whom it can be spent. Every payment is traced on a tamper-proof blockchain and controlled by the AI.

IBAN and incoming transfers

Each account has its own IBAN. It receives standard or instant SEPA transfers: the funding arrives as on any account.

Outgoing transfers

The account sends transfers to the suppliers authorised by the programme, and redeems in euros to a bank account where provided for.

Payment card

A card linked to the account, in store or online, in France or anywhere in the world depending on the programme, with strong authentication.

QR code

In-store or account-to-account payment by scanning a QR code, at authorised suppliers.

App

The account is managed from an app: balance, history, programme rules and receipts.

Earmarking, in plain terms

Suppliers

A list of authorised suppliers or merchants, or whole categories.

Geographic area

A municipality, a department, a region, France or the whole world: the digital euro can only be spent within the chosen territory.

Period

A window of use, with the treatment of balances defined in advance.

Ceilings

Per operation, per day, per month or per period, for each beneficiary, adjustable at any time.

Online payments

Allowed or not, at the online suppliers you choose.

Cash withdrawals

Allowed, capped or blocked: you control what can leave as cash.

Activation

The account and the card are activated, suspended and reactivated instantly, from your dashboard.

Beneficiaries

Only people enrolled in the programme have an account and a balance.

The payment means and earmarking rules opened to a programme are decided at scoping and written into the contract.

What it is for: give funds

Distribute aid and allowances whose use is guaranteed.

You pay funds to identified beneficiaries: allowances, aid, grants, reimbursements against receipts. MAP allocates them to the intended use, releases them on the agreed date and reports every spend back to you, in real time and to the euro.

A local authority

An allowance whose use is guaranteed within the territory

  1. 01The authority schedules the monthly payment to the account of each beneficiary household.
  2. 02The household pays by card or QR code at the approved suppliers of the territory, during the eligibility period.
  3. 03Every spend is recorded on the blockchain and reported to the authority in real time; unspent balances follow the rule set in the programme.
A company

An expense reimbursement against receipts, verified and traceable

  1. 01The beneficiary incurs the expense and submits the receipt in the app.
  2. 02The AI checks the receipt: approved supplier, amount, nature of the expense.
  3. 03The reimbursement is paid in earmarked digital euro to their account, and internal control holds a tamper-proof record.
An aid organisation

Emergency aid available immediately, within a defined framework

  1. 01The organisation releases the aid to the beneficiary’s account, without delay and within a ceiling.
  2. 02Use is confined to essential suppliers: food, accommodation, transport.
  3. 03Every payment is controlled before execution and visible to the organisation as soon as it is made.
What it is for, continued: collect funds

Collect funds and account for their use.

You collect from contributors who expect proof of use: fundraising pots, allocated donations, philanthropy. MAP allocates the collection to its purpose, distributes it to the designated beneficiaries and accounts to each contributor for the use of their euro, in full transparency.

A charity

An allocated fundraising pot, paid directly to suppliers

  1. 01Contributors pay into a pot whose purpose is defined in advance.
  2. 02The pot pays approved suppliers directly: equipment, services, a trip.
  3. 03Each contributor can see how their contribution was used, recorded on the blockchain.
A foundation

Donations allocated to an action, with proof of use

  1. 01The donor designates the action they support; their donation is allocated to it.
  2. 02The foundation distributes the digital euro to beneficiaries or pays the action’s suppliers.
  3. 03The tax receipt is issued where the foundation is entitled to do so, and the allocation is established to the euro.
A corporate funder

A philanthropy programme followed in real time

  1. 01The company funds the programme envelope, allocated to its beneficiaries and suppliers.
  2. 02Beneficiaries pay their expenses from a full payment account: card, QR code, transfers.
  3. 03The funder follows every spend in real time and receives tamper-proof reporting.
The MAP guarantee

The right person, at the right time, for the right use.

Whether you give funds or collect them, MAP guarantees where every euro goes: earmarked at issuance, paid from a real account, traced on the blockchain, controlled by the AI, visible in real time.

The right person

A named, verified account

Each beneficiary is identified at onboarding and the AI verifies their documents before the account is opened. No one else can spend their funds.

At the right time

Scheduled payments

Funds arrive on the planned date and remain usable during the set period. The treatment of balances is decided in advance.

For the right use

Earmarking applied to every payment

Suppliers, categories, geographic area, ceiling: every operation is controlled before execution and recorded on the blockchain.

Proof that it works

It already works: Poto, solidarity fully traced.

With Poto / Mon Ami Poto, MAP’s earmarkable digital euro is in service for solidarity: contributors, charities, beneficiaries and suppliers, on a public ledger traced on the blockchain.

Editorial staging of hands preparing a solidarity basket with everyday goods.

Staged image: it does not depict a beneficiary or a real event from the scheme.

Contributor’s role

Provide the funds

Contributions arrive in euros and become digital euro earmarked for the chosen purpose.

Charity’s role

Define the framework

The charity chooses the beneficiaries and the authorised suppliers.

MAP’s role

Issue, earmark, trace

Issuance of the digital euro, application of the rules to every payment, tamper-proof log on the blockchain.

This deployment is described with its scope and limits. Activity indicators are only published with their source, period and definition.

Proof, live

Test an earmarking rule.

Choose a supplier and a ceiling, then submit a payment: the simulation accepts or refuses it, and tells you why.

Educational simulation

Change the scenario, submit the transaction and read the rule that explains the outcome.

Framework of use defined for this example

The funder has allocated the envelope to food expenditure, at the merchants it has listed, for holders enrolled in the programme, within a daily cap. These four elements make up the framework: they determine the outcome of every transaction.

Rules
Rule 1

Authorised holder

Only holders enrolled in the programme have a usable balance.

Rule 2

Authorised merchant

The programme lists the accepted merchant categories.

Rule 3

Daily cap remaining in the scenario
Transaction to submit €24.50 Cap remaining: €40.00 · Available: €36,000.00
Transactions

No transaction submitted yet. Open the “Rules” tab, choose a scenario, then submit the €24.50 transaction.

How it is controlled

An artificial intelligence watches over every operation.

MAP’s AI analyses the documents provided at onboarding, checks every payment against the programme rules and regulatory obligations, and detects atypical behaviour: 100% of operations controlled, 100% compliance.

Document analysis

Identity and customer due diligence documents are read and verified by the AI, which rules out inconsistencies before an account is opened.

Control of operations

Every payment is checked against the programme rules and anti-money-laundering obligations before execution; no operation leaves the framework.

Anomaly detection

Unusual volumes, repetitions, deviations from the profile: the AI detects and blocks atypical behaviour in real time.

Every operation is controlled before execution: none leaves the framework of the programme or the institution’s obligations.

How we get started

Let us build the programme suited to your organisation.

A programme takes preparation: describe the expected use, settle the earmarking rules actually needed, check what your information system must exchange, then launch on a controlled scope.

01

Scoping

Nature of the funding, actors, expected uses, budgetary constraints and obligations specific to your organisation.

02

Validation of scope

Rules adopted, reporting required, roles and access rights, applicable contractual documents.

03

Preparing the integration

Technical exchanges, test data sets, respective responsibilities and prerequisites for going live.

04

Launch

Opening of the programme on a defined scope, tracking of operations, agreed review points.

The duration of a project depends on its scope, its stakeholders and its own obligations. No standard timeframe is announced before the scoping stage.
